Filming: Mid-Opening Scenes

My group and I continued on filming from where we left off last week. But, unfortunately, we were missing our director Amelia. She couldn't make it to the spot that we were filming at due to plans that conflicted the filming schedule. So due to this Maya stepped in as director. I think at first Maya was a little nervous because this was the first time that she had that role but by the end of us filming she was pretty comfortable. She also came up with some good ideas. For example when we shot the point of view shot we were struggling to get bot of the actors hands in the shot. We also did not want the shadow of another person in the shot. So Maya taped the camera to our actor Gavin's for head. After that we got the point of view shot that we needed.
After a day of filming we got through about five more scenes. So, that means that we are not going at the speed that we wanted to go at. While each shot that we get is good quality, at the rate that we are going at we will not be able to meet the deadline. So, in order to still produce good quality and reach the deadline my group has devised a plan. We will have to fit in more days of filming. This means that we will start filming after school as well as on the weekends. So we looked at everyone's schedule and figured out the Wednesday is a good day to film after school. That is because it does not interfere with anyone's practices or after school activities. So, with this schedule adjustment we hope to finish on time with quality.
This is a picture from our film.
